Privacy policy

In short: for your account we only use your email address and password. Your journal and settings are stored so you can see them on any phone. The app shows ads through Google AdMob; personalised ads appear only if you agree. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account at any time, together with everything in it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The BetMate app (“the app”) is operated by its developer (“we”). For any question about your data, write to us at vvvaidevelopment@gmail.com.

2. What data we process

Account: your email address and password. The password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form and we cannot read it.
Bet journal: the matches, selections, odds, stakes and results you add to your journal.
Settings: for example your bankroll and the rules of the ticket of the day.
Technical data: your IP address and sign-in time, recorded by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
Advertising data (Android only): your phone’s advertising ID, IP address, device type and ad interactions, collected by Google AdMob.
Early access list: if you sign up on betmatestats.com, the email address, the name you choose to give (optional) and your language, used only to invite you to test the Android app.

We do not process: your phone number, precise (GPS) location, contacts, photos or payment data. We do not use our own analytics or tracking tools.

3. Why we use it

to create your account and sign you in;
to keep your journal and settings and sync them across your devices;
to send the emails your account needs (confirmation code, password reset code);
to protect the service against abuse;
to show ads, which keep the app free.

Ads. The first time you use the app we ask for your consent to personalised ads through a Google form. If you do not agree, you only see non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in the app: More → Settings → Ad privacy options. The legal basis for personalised ads is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The legal basis for the rest is the performance of the contract between us and you (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Where it is stored and who else sees it

Supabase hosts your account, journal and settings on servers in the European Union (Ireland). Supabase privacy policy.
Google (Gmail) delivers the account emails (confirmation, password reset). Google privacy policy.
Google AdMob shows the ads and receives the advertising data above. How Google uses data for ads.

We do not sell or rent your data and do not pass it on to anyone else, except where the law requires us to.

5. Data on your phone

The app keeps a copy of the public daily data (matches, statistics, odds) on your phone so it works faster and offline, plus your theme and language preference. These contain no personal data and are removed if you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your account, journal and settings are deleted immediately and permanently. The hosting provider’s technical logs are deleted automatically after a few days at most. Early access sign-ups are deleted once the Android app is public, or earlier if you ask us.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right:

to know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
to have it corrected;
to have it deleted (see Account deletion);
to receive your data in a portable format;
to object to or restrict its processing;
to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Romania: www.dataprotection.ro).

For any of these, write to vvvaidevelopment@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

8. Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in encrypted form, and each user can access only their own journal and settings.

9. Minimum age

The app is intended only for people over 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for minors; if we find out that this has happened, we delete the account.

10. About the app

BetMate provides statistical analysis only. It does not take bets, does not guarantee winnings and is not affiliated with any bookmaker. Gambling can be addictive; please play responsibly.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above. We announce important changes in the app.
